I grew up on a small island in the Caribbean called Saint Kitts

my mom & brother got me interested in drawing. he would always draw airplanes and cars. I always thought that was fascinating

There were a group of missionary “floating library” ships that came to St. Kitts. we would call them the Logos. One of my first memories of art was when my mom bought me my first few art books from the Logos
I actually still have some today
[move&quarantine]
I moved to the US for school purposes, attending undergrad and then medical school shortly after. I didn’t paint for much of the first part of that journey. Sometime during medical school (~2020/21) the pandemic hit. I started painting during quarantine as a distraction. I painted every day, I painted every night, I painted while I studied. I painted if I felt sick, I also painted when I felt well. It didn’t matter what I was doing, I just painted
some I liked, and some hurt to watch again lol
and I have documented every single painting along the way
I posted them to my Instagram and my Reddit, and they’re mostly still easily accessible on those platforms
